Market Growth through the Elimination of Competition. And Black is White.

rooftop solar 2In 2014, utilities in South Carolina tried to shut down competition and solar growth in the Palmetto State. Blatantly anti-competitive bill language from the utilities would have been toxic for the solar industry in the state. TUSK mobilized solar supporters to oppose this language, and the poison pill was removed. TUSK remained engaged as the legislation was implemented, and utility and solar supporters ultimately agreed to a fair and balanced net metering program, which will create new local jobs and a growing industry.

TUSK Chairman Barry Goldwater, Jr, remarks “I have seen these battles rage across the country, and South Carolina has shown great leadership in reaching an agreement that reflects the overwhelming public demand for energy choice. Net metering upholds tenets of choice and competition without subjecting consumers to taxes.”
